Course Description

Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 215, NURS 160, NURS 167, and NURS 194, concurrent enrollment in NURS 194 allowed. Minimum grade of PC (pass) required for two clinical courses, NURS 168 and NURS 170. This course offers hands-on, practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired in NURS 194, focusing on the nurse's role in the acute care setting including: culturally diverse care of the adult medical-surgical client, teamwork and collaboration, communication, client education, professionalism and management of care. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring]
