Course Description

Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in MEDA 240 or MEDA 250 (for AAS students only). Minimum grade of C or better in MEDA 210, MEDA 211, MEDA 212, MEDA 220, MEDA 221, and MEDA 245 with concurrent enrollment allowed in MEDA 245 (for EPiC Certificate students only). This course will cover current and relevant topics in medical assisting. Examples of current topics to be discussed are: professionalism, patient-centered medical homes, and studying and taking a practice Registered Medical Assisting Exam. This is a capstone course and therefore requires a final grade of "C" or better. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
