Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. This course will provide an overview of the criminal justice system in the United States. It will examine the various components (police, courts, & corrections) of the criminal justice system and provide a perspective on how they are linked and operate. The course will also cover the historical and contemporary issues that challenge and confront these component organizations. [Semesters Offered: Fall]
