Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MATH 101, MATH 102, AUTO 113, CONS 113, or WELD 113, or satisfactory test scores placing into MATH 127, 128, 150, or higher. Provides the non-science major with an introduction to ideas and applications of topics in traditional and modern mathematics. Explores the nature of problem solving, logic, numeration systems, the history of mathematics, real numbers, classical and modern geometry, applications of algebra and geometry, finance and probability and statistics. Recommended for the Arts/Humanities and Communications Pathways. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
