Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUSI 116. A minimum of four years of previous experience in a traditional wind ensemble/concert band setting is required. Exceptions to be granted with approval of the director. Open to students and community members who wish to study and perform a wide variety of wind band literature. The Symphonic Band gives two performances and performs at the college's Commencement Ceremony each Summer. Audition or permission of instructor required. Sight-reading abilities are required, and a minimum of four years of previous experience in a wind band (concert band) is expected.[Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring]
