Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. Introduction to behavioral and social aspects of communication disorders. Includes a broad overview of human communication, with emphasis on development, adult functions, and cultural differences, in addition to disorders. Also examines general approaches to rehabilitation of the communicatively disabled and current controversies. [Semesters Offered: Fall]
