Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. This course is a study of juvenile delinquency theories of causation and current prevention programs. It will explore the nature and extent of delinquency and examine suspected causes of delinquent behavior. It will also cover critical issues in juvenile delinquency and examine crucial policies and programs in the Criminal Justice system that address juvenile delinquency. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
